At FocuSee, we believe great tools should empower everyone to work efficiently, communicate clearly, and stay in control, every step of the way. That’s why the following updates introduce a powerful set of improvements designed to streamline your workflow, protect your content, and enhance the viewing experience.

This release includes a series of notable optimizations—from importing existing footage and dynamically adjusting your camera layout, to refining spotlight behavior, enhancing privacy with mosaic blur, and streamlining sharing via cloud links. These upgrades are all about making FocuSee faster, smarter, and more aligned with how you actually work.

Better Experience – Upgrades That Make a Difference

One of the standout improvements is the enhanced Spotlight tool, which now offers a more dynamic and visually polished way to guide attention during your videos. The spotlight now intelligently syncs with the zoom effect. This helps viewers immediately understand what you’re pointing to and what you’re doing by highlighting key elements and dimming irrelevant content. Moreover, you can now fine-tune opacity and feathering for a more refined and fluid look. It’s a powerful way to make your demos clearer, your pacing more natural, and your message more effective.

New Features – Expanding What FocuSee Can Do

Alongside the improvement to existing tools, we’re also introducing several brand-new features, designed to give you even more flexibility, privacy, and control in your editing workflow.

Dynamic Camera Layouts

Creating engaging videos is about more than just what you say—it’s about how you appear. That’s why we’re introducing dynamic camera layouts, giving users full control over how and when their camera appears throughout a video. Whether you’re filming a course, a tutorial, or a product walkthrough, your camera layout can now adapt to your storytelling.

This update is shaped by feedback from many of our users. With this update, you can still apply one consistent camera layout across the entire video, just like before. Or, choose the new dynamic option: adjust your camera’s size, position, or visibility at any point in the timeline with smooth transitions that keep your video flowing naturally.

Cloud Sharing

You can now upload your final video to the cloud directly from FocuSee and receive an instant shareable link. Whether you’re collaborating with teammates, sharing with clients, or publishing content externally, cloud sharing streamlines the entire process from editing to distribution. It’s the fastest way to get your video in front of the right people.

Why it matters:

Mosaic Blur

Whether you’ve accidentally recorded something sensitive or need to hide login credentials during unavoidable input, FocuSee’s new blur tool has you covered. With just one click, you can mask private or unwanted content directly in the editor—no need to re-record or rely on external tools for complicated post-editing.

This has been one of our most requested features, especially for users who need to safely share content without exposing unintended details.

Why it matters:

Blur isn’t just for privacy—it also helps guide attention and polish your video like a pro.

Local File Import

FocuSee used to require a new recording to access the editor, but many users already had footage and just wanted to enhance it using our tools. This became a barrier for many. Now, you can import local video files directly into FocuSee to start a project. Use drag-and-drop or file selection, then access the full timeline, zoom effect, and editing tools to polish your content with ease.

This means faster production—you can skip re-recording steps and build polished videos in minutes. It also makes FocuSee more adaptable to every use case, giving more users the flexibility to edit the way they want.

More Updates

New Desktop Backgrounds for macOS 26: We’ve added support for the latest official wallpapers introduced in macOS 26, so your recordings can stay visually in sync with Apple’s newest design aesthetics.
